Ravenel Training Quarry is a Freshwater Quarry used by local divers for dive training and enjoyment.  Carolina Dive Locker and other diving groups, placed numerous cement statues for a navigation course, built and submerged a wooden platform in the lake for skills training.  Additionally several underwater structures boats, planes and automobiles are located in the quarry.  The Quarry is aproximatly 20' deep throughout the quarry with a 28' deep trench near the northern shore and a freediving hole that drops  34' at its deepest point on the eastern end.
